Aljoscha’s art brings the sea into the AMALFI urban oasis. The sculptural “sea installation” made of cast aluminum bio-isms organically permeates the building ensemble. As a “marine super biology”, it connects the various locations of the floor, entrance area and atrium and provides a sublime prelude.
The studio visit in Düsseldorf gave us an in-depth insight into Aljosha’s work and the story behind the creation of the marine installation.
The art project by Ukrainian-born artist Aljosha was the winner of an art competition held for the Badenerstarsse 423-431 project. His work of cast aluminum bio-isms impressed the expert jury.
